Tamilnadu based EV manufacturer TI Clean Mobility, part of the diversified
conglomerate Murugappa Group unveiled the Montra Electric Three Wheeler in September 2022 Under Brand Montra Electric.
Montra Electric marked its foray into the electric vehicle three-wheeler segment with the launch of its Super Auto. It was launched across the country in a phased manner starting with the southern section of India.
The brand aims at striving towards carbon neutrality. Their aim is to significantly impact India’s effort in achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2070.
Montra Electric has revolutionized the automotive segment with its cutting-edge Super Auto. It is very smartly designed and is the best-in-class mobility in the 3W EV segment.
It has a starting price of Rs. 3.15 lakh and goes up to Rs. 3.50 lakh.
This electric rickshaw has a range of 160 km per charge. It has a top speed of 55 km per hour. It can accelerate from 0 to 20 km per hour in just 4 seconds. It has a gradeability of 21%.
The Montra Electric Super Auto has a 10 kWh lithium-ion battery producing a maximum torque of 60 nm. In addition, it is equipped with fast charging technology. It can be charged in less than 4 hours.
The electric three wheeler has a very sturdy Boron Steel Chassis along with a full metal body and its roof is made of rexin canopy material except for the top variant ePX that has a hard roof.
It has a length of 2825 mm, width of 1350 mm and a height of 1750 mm. It has a wheelbase of 2010 mm and a minimum Ground Clearance of 207 mm.
The Montra Super Auto is offered in three variants: the base model ePV, the mid variant ePV2.0 and the top variant ePX.
Montra Electric Auto Rickshaw can carry a high payload capacity. Montra ePX has a GVW capacity of 770 kgs, ePV has a capacity of 749 kgs and ePV 2.0 has a capacity of 756 kgs.
The key features of the Super Auto includes Dual Beam LED Head Lights, App Connectivity, 4.3 inch LCD instrument cluster display, mobile charging, glove box with a lock, a rear luggage cabin with tailgate, etc. It is also equipped with multiple drive modes like Eco, Drive, Power, and Reverse mode for a better driving experience. It also features a Park Assist mode.
The Super Auto App helps the owner track their earnings easily, maintain earning ledger and service book, monitor battery status and location of the auto at all times. They can scan and check the vehicle internal data on his phone like vehicle health, driver’s expert score, access to the pocket mechanic guide, get service tips, etc. It also helps to maintain all documents in one place electronically.
It is also available in 7 different languages: Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Hindi, English, Kannada and Malayalam
